The Rocket or the Art Trip?
Ari saved for a model rocket. Now there’s something else they want to do.
Ari has saved $12 for a model rocket. Then the art club plans a trip. It costs $10.
“But I called this rocket money,” Ari says.
The envelope doesn't mind. Ari can make a new choice.
They could keep saving for the rocket. Or they could spend $10 on the trip and keep $2. Buying the rocket would take longer.
After talking with a grown-up, Ari chooses the trip.
A priority is something that matters more to you right now. Priorities can change. The useful part is knowing what one choice means for the other.
